After Her Home Was Looted, Sri Mulyani Gives Firm Response-Ist-
BACAKORAN.CO - Indonesia’s Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani, has finally responded to the unexpected incident that took place at her residence.
In the early hours of Sunday, August 31, 2025, her home in Bintaro, South Tangerang, was stormed by an unidentified mob.
Valuable items belonging to Sri Mulyani, ranging from kitchenware and electronics to paintings, were taken by the perpetrators.
Responding to the incident, Sri Mulyani acknowledged that being a state official tasked with helping build the nation is never an easy job.
“I understand that building Indonesia is a struggle that is not easy, often steep, and sometimes dangerous,” Sri Mulyani wrote on Instagram, Monday, September 1, 2025.

She stressed that political symbols should represent a shared struggle for noble goals for the nation, but such struggles must be carried out ethically and with high moral standards.
“As a state official, I am sworn to uphold the 1945 Constitution and all laws. This is not a matter of personal preference,” she said.
She explained that Indonesia is built on laws, involving the government, the DPR, the DPD, and with the participation of the public in an open and transparent manner.
If the public feels dissatisfied, she said, the proper path is through a judicial review at the Constitutional Court.

“If the public is dissatisfied and their constitutional rights are violated by a law, they can file for a judicial review (as has often been done) at the Constitutional Court. If the implementation of a law deviates, the case can be brought to court, even up to the Supreme Court,” she explained.
